The facts that can differentiate your stand-up comedy

To attend any stand-up comedy show is always something fascinating for me. I actually like the format of this show. The fun part for me is the direct speech of the comedian with the audience. The interaction between both the parties makes the entire show out of this world. However, I always remain concerned about the things, which make one stand-up comedy show different from other. Have you ever noticed that there are few shows that gain the attention of audience in initial moments? How it becomes possible for few shows only? Is it the attribute of the comedian, the concept, or both?
To find out the reality, I started attending few of the stand-up comedian shows on frequent basis. It is true that the entire show is dependent on not only the concept of the show but also on the comedian performing that show. I noticed that different stand-up comedians have different comedy approaches. Few of them prefer to raise queries during the show in order to involve the audience whereas some of them do not ask queries from the audience. Instead, they ask queries and give replies too on the behalf of the audience just to make the entire situation more hilarious.

Apart from their comedy approach, I also noticed another major factor, which either can take the show to heights or can flop it too. It was the opening of the show. Have you ever attended any stand-up comedian show? If yes then you must have noticed that few of the comedians start delivering material after saying Hello whereas some of them just start doing comedy without greeting anyone. I think and the same I had observed later on, that the one, who starts after saying Hello, has the capability to win the heart the audience. Do you know why? It is simple to understand. By saying Hello, he makes an effort to grab the attention of the audience and when he starts delivering the material, the entire audience can easily understand what he is talking about. Instead, in the second case, when the stand-up comedians only bump the microphone and start delivering their material, how many people will be attentive to them can be a real concern. Just think that if they will not be attentive, then how they will understand the situation.

In few stand-up comedy shows, I have came across a third type of comedians too, who prefer a casual type of greeting including Hi, How are you doing?, etc. They think that it is an amazing opening but such openings do not work at least for me. How many times a person want to hear such questions? At least, I do not attend any stand-up comedy show to listen such greetings. I am sure that you do not as well. Hence, if you are planning to make people laugh by performing in any stand-up comedy show, then try something really interesting, interactive, and unique, especially for the opening of your show
