1. Adam Sandler
This amazingly talented comedian started his career with the famed Saturday Night Live, and from there he went on to become one of the most successful comedians in Hollywood. He is a household name in the comedy business, and is most commonly known for his stand-up comedy performances worldwide. His film works include Con Air, Screwed, Half Baked, Def Comedy Jam and Undercover Blues etc. Ranked at 43, his show, the Chappelle's Show has been titled as one of the 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time.
5. Ellen DeGeneres
This talented and beautiful woman has two popular shows to her credit: The Ellen Show, and Ellen, DeGeneres. Furthermore, she has won 13 Emmy awards for performances in her career and charitable works accredited to her name. Starting her career from performing in small clubs and bars, she managed to pave her way up to the top and is also named as Showtime's Funniest Person in America after she started to tour nationally.
6. Eddie Murphy
Eddie Murphy started his career from the show Saturday Night Live and was eventually ranked number 10 in Comedy Central's Greatest Stand-ups of All Time. For his role of James in the hit movie Dreamgirls, Eddie was nominated for the prestigious Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award nomination for his acting in Trading Places, 48 Hrs, and Beverly Hills Cop the series. His best works include the Nutty Professor, and as Donkey from the Shrek movie series.
6. Jim Carrey
This comedian has won the hearts of millions around the world. Due to his exceptional acting skills, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical for his role in The Mask, and as Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber. His best works include the movies The Cable Guy, Bruce Almighty, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Yes Man, and Batman Forever. Furthermore, Carrey won the People's Choice Award for favorite TV guest star in the hit sitcom -- The Office.

The character of Dewey Finn, the crazy music teacher from the movie, School of Rock, was perhaps the most crucial point of Black’s career. He is the voice behind Po, the adorable panda from the Kung Fu Panda series. Kathleen "Kathy" Griffin rose to fame due to her role in NBS’s Suddenly Susan.  She is an Emmy Award-winning American stand-up comedienne, television personality, and an actress as well. She has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album, and has won two Emmy awards for the show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, as executive producer.
9. Russell Peters
Russell Peters is a Canadian stand-up comic, and performer of Indian accent, whose routine concentrates generally on his Canadian childhood, and racial generalizations. A lot of his material is identified with the social partitions between various ethnicity and childhoods, and incorporates numerous impressions. He has won awards like the Gemini Award in 2008 for 'Best Performance in a Variety Program or Series', and the Asian Awards for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts award.
10. Robin Williams
Surely the best and most gifted comedian in Hollywood, Robin Williams is also amongst the most versatile of them all. He proved his amazing skill set through the years of entertaining his audience thoroughly.
